Diarra Joi Clemons, J.D., SAG-AFTRA is a Doctor of Law (J.D.), entrepreneur, corporate strategist, and multidisciplinary executive building companies at the intersection of law, artificial intelligence, finance, consumer products, and global brand development. As Founder and Chief Executive Officer of DJC International LLC, she is creating a diversified enterprise that combines legal advisory, executive consulting, investment strategy, management services, and consumer brands designed to compete in today's innovation economy.
With more than two decades of experience spanning corporate finance, legal services, technology, marketing, and entertainment, Diarra has developed a rare ability to connect legal strategy with commercial execution. Her career reflects a consistent focus on identifying emerging markets, building scalable business models, negotiating strategic opportunities, and creating long-term enterprise value.
Raised throughout the United States after being born in New Jersey, Diarra developed a national perspective shaped by diverse communities, industries, and professional environments. Coming from a family with deep roots in business, finance, public service, communications, and education, she was inspired early to pursue leadership that creates measurable impact across multiple sectors. Her grandmothers are Laura Adams Clemons of the Presidential Adams family and Dorothy Washington Kendrick of the Southern farming Kendrick family. She was born to Corine Kendrick Clemons C.P.A., owner of CJ Real Estate Investment Firm Inc. and John Gregory Clemons, ABC, APR, IABC Chairman, retired Raytheon Defense executive. Along with African-American and European heritage, she is also mixed with Cherokee Indian.
Diarra earned her Juris Doctor from New York Law School after completing undergraduate studies at George Mason University. During law school, she distinguished herself through leadership, advocacy, and academic excellence, earning First Place in the International Academy of Dispute Resolution (INADR) Mediation Tournament, serving in leadership for the Black Law Students Association, participating in securities and finance law organizations, and receiving recognition for public service. She is also an author and journalist whose work explores law, business, and entrepreneurship. Her novel Roses Are Blue and legal publications reflect her commitment to thought leadership and continuous learning, while her public speaking and professional writing demonstrate her ability to communicate complex business and legal concepts to diverse audiences.
Her professional experience includes leadership and consulting engagements with globally recognized financial institutions, regulatory agencies, technology companies, and professional services organizations, including J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, Oppenheimer & Co., Newedge, the Federal Trade Commission, the Internal Revenue Service, Consilio LLP, Hire Counsel, Mercor, and Monarch Alternative Hedge Fund LLP. These experiences have equipped her with expertise in financial markets, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, artificial intelligence, legal operations, and business transformation.
As CEO of DJC International LLC, Diarra has expanded the company from its origins in event marketing into a diversified holding company with interests in legal consulting, executive advisory, beauty, wellness, branding, and business development. Under her leadership, the company continues to pursue strategic partnerships, licensing opportunities, retail expansion, and corporate collaborations while positioning itself for national and international growth.
Her consumer brands—including DJC Cosmetix and Diarra's Pharmacy—reflect her commitment to combining innovation, wellness, and premium consumer experiences. She personally leads business negotiations, strategic partnerships, brand positioning, and long-term growth initiatives designed to increase market reach and shareholder value.
Beyond business, Diarra has built a successful career in entertainment and media that enhances her executive leadership and brand visibility. She was signed to Wilhelmina Models in New York, the #1 modeling agency in the world. She excelled in print, commercial, catalog and Product Specialist modeling assignments. For several years, she toured the East Coast for client Panasonic Electronics promoting the company's 3D television line. She branched off traveling internationally as a pageant supermodel as Miss Red Hot New York in Jamaica, Miss Swimsuit USA New York in the Bahamas, Miss Cayman Islands in Barbados, www.youtube.com/DiarraClemons, and a Ujena Swimwear model in Mexico in her 20s. She started behind the scenes as an extra in several high-profile television shows and movies in New York. She was quickly promoted to speaking roles and joined SAG-AFTRA from a speaking scene in the 2000s hit television series, "Gossip Girl." She branched off shooting scenes for MTV, NBC, CBS and movies. She is currently signed to The Brock Agency in North Carolina for acting. She has booked commercials and television roles in the state of North Carolina as a "local celebrity."
Today, Diarra is focused on building DJC International LLC into a globally respected management and advisory enterprise while expanding its portfolio of brands, strategic investments, and consulting services. Her long-term vision is to establish an enduring business platform that serves corporations, governments, entrepreneurs, and investors through innovative legal strategy, artificial intelligence, operational excellence, and transformational leadership.
